Blown fuse issue solved
« on: August 31, 2016 - 04:14:22 PM »
20 amp fuse for taillights, cigar lighter and dome lights kept blowing.  After chasing wires I discovered the clips that holds the dome lights in were broke and grounding out against the body.  Fixed it with sodder and rubber shrink rap.  Also put a piece of rubber behind that light to ensure it would never ground out again.  The only one broke was the passenger side, however the driver side one wasn't much better and it wasn't broken, it just wouldn't stay clipped in very well so I went ahead and did that one also.  Man Chrysler failed at that clip design.  Thought I'd share in case anyone else has this issue.  Back to night riding when it's cool out, drive it like you stole it.
