    Hey y'all, this is a similar situation to the "My latest nightmare", but I ended up with it.  I guess that makes me the winner.  :wasted:   I got this gem for $5000, and I was excited to pick it up...until I went to pick it up about a month ago.  What a disappointment!  This is a complete, numbers matching '74 360/auto car with some great options on it like A/C, PB, PS, rally gauges and missing rally hood, rallye red with white interior, rear window defogger, to name a few.  Like Dilligaf's car, this car does not have one good panel on it...on the sides, underside or top.  Well, I guess the roof is good.  Anyway, the frame rails are decent, but even they need some attention.  This was bought as "an easy restoration".   It's my own fault for expecting more than what I got.  Maybe I learned a lesson out of it.  Not even Ebay could help me get rid of it.   :ack:

    Any suggestions?  Think it can be saved?  What are some good ideas for this car other than dropping it off at the local landfill?  ;D

    it's definetly a piece of work,it can be saved though depending on the time and money situation

    Well they say anything can be saved, just a matter of how much you are willing to do, has a lot of the options my orig 74 had, wrong color though!
     I was interested in it for those parts when it was around 1K, too bad it's worse than you thought, tear into it, it will keep you from being bored for a few years! Rich.

      I have to ask, did you see these photos before you bought it???? Does it run(unlikely)? Ouch.  :eekbig: I'm wondering what you went on before you bought it. I mean, why did you think it was a reasonable deal at the time?

    I agree with MoparGuy, take a look around this site at some before resto cars and you'll see what beauty's some of them turned into. It just depends how much time and how deep your wallet is. But the pride that you'll feel when it is done is immeasurable. Good luck and keep us informed. 8)

    WOW...it's a tough cruel world out there. I have to admit I've seen worse parts cars with less included in on the deal sell for $2000 plus. I think you may want to do some research on what it will take to bring it back (any thing can be saved), what's in your budget, and how long you're willing to wait to see it back together and on the road. I run into guys all the time who don't realize what it truly takes to bring one back and end up with a run away freight train!! The best result is to find the staightest and cleanest body to start with and pay the piper out of the gate, saves alot of cash and headaches in the long run. Don't get me wrong I come from a backround that taught me to utilize what you have and build off of it. I guess that's why I do quite well in my resto business. I wouldn't junk it.  :patriot:

    I certainly wouldn't junk it.  If you don't think its worth restoring, it seems to me the parts on it are worth quite a bit, altouhg I hate to see any ebody parted out .
