My 505 Dyno results

Finally got to the tuner to dial in the Megasquirt engine computer.  Thanks to all for all the advice on my build.
504 HP and 541 Torque at the rear wheels.  Dynojet           90 degrees outside yesterday and 80% humidity in Fort Lauderdale, FL
Adjusting for drive train losses at 15%, that's
580 Hp and 622 Torque at the flywheel.

The graph was recorded in MPH not RPM on this pull, so
40 mph = 1830 rpm
60 mph = 2750 rpm
80 mph = 3700 rpm
100 mph = 4600 rpm
120 mph = 5600 rpm
140 mph = 6500 rpm

90 mm Throttle body,   55 lbs. injectors, Sequential fuel injection
Coil Near Plug running with Megasquirt  3 Engine Computer
Compression Ratio  10.8
Viper T 56 Transmission,  Dynoed in 4th gear,     3.55 differential
Pump Gas 93 Octane
All in timing 32 degrees
Timing was original 36 degrees,  moved to 32 degrees in increments and HP stayed the same, but torque increased 30 ft/lbs

Those are some great numbers, it will be a handful on the street for sure!  She sounds solid too.  Thanks for posting.  Our 505 builds are very similar except I'm staying with a Proform 850 carb. I will try to get mine on the dyno when I get it in and compare numbers.  Altitude will make a difference but it will still be interesting to see.

 it seems typical for a stroker  the cam is listed for 2200 -6200 & is working more from 1500-5300 . so it should be a monster on the street with tq everywhere & no need to shift above 5600 , heads are probably limiting the upper power band but it will live forever as it is not beating up parts

Heads are probably limiting the upper power band ...

 :iagree:  with that kind of neck-snapping torque your "head" is the limiting factor - any more torque and you will need a HANS device for driving! :grinyes:

Lots of torque down low, funny our builds are somewhat similar but you are running EFI.

Would be cool to see a delta with a carb like Frazz says.

With the .5 overdrive I'm at 1600 RPM at 70 mph,  right where the torque just comes in.   That's why I didn't go with the next bigger cam

Good stuff! I'm using some of the same parts as well. Did you work your heads at all or are they out of the box?

This is exactly what I'm looking to get out of the Roadrunner's 383 stroker, want to do it once and do it right.  Its one reason I'm leaning to the 489 vs the 450 just to get the extra torque & HP without having to make it high strung & unstreetable.

I noticed this  "Timing was original 36 degrees,  moved to 32 degrees in increments and HP stayed the same, but torque increased 30 ft/lbs"   Everyone sez 36-38 is best for a Mopar big block... But quench changes that... Less timing cause the mixture burns faster... :thumbsup:

Very nice.  :2thumbs: Love the sound of the exhaust system.   :ylsuper: That's exactly what I'm going to run my 512 stroker but it isn't installed yet.  It was nice to hear what it will actually sound like.  Do you get any drone from those mufflers?
