cuda brake booster finish

brake booster assembly on a 1971 340 cuda, what was the original /correct finish, should it all be painted, black, unfinished cast master? etc. pics appreciated.

If it's a Midland Ross booster(held together with a removable band...NOT crimped together) it should be zinc dichromate.

The support bracket on the back side is gloss black.

okay, I would assume the master it self should be cast iron color?

The master is natural cast.  The lid could have been zinc dichromate or gray phosphate.

Bendex boosters were also found on 71's, be sure of which style you have :2cents:

Yes, both halves were crimped together and aren't easily separated.  Those were sprayed with cheap gloss black.

Yes and it was painted as an assembly with the complete master cylinder in a cheap black as burdar has stated :2thumbs:
