starter keeps running after starting

Yeah I'm a little confused on that as well.

I would ask him to show me that one.....

So he said that he had an aftermarket battery cable he had.

The terminal where it bolts onto the relay has an elongated end on the terminal ring.

When he put it on, he had it twisted in a way where it was barely touching the small post on the relay.

Almost like when you try and start your car using a screwdriver you may picture doing.
