Best 440 Distributor

I have a FireCore dist. I had bought over a year ago for my build but the mechanic trying to get my 505 tuned says it's not acting right. Can't take it back so what other good distributors are there?

  Have you contacted them about the distributor?  Would be a lot cheaper than throwing $$ at a new one.  From what I've read, the FireCore team has good customer service.

I had the worse possible customer service with FireCore. Double billing was just one of the problems. Their product is very good. Just stay on top of what you order and keep good records of everything said and done.

I have a 15 year old MSD distributor, that has been almost perfect, until a few weeks ago.
All it needs now is a $28 magnetic pickup.  Don't throw out the baby with the bathwater.

Thecar would idle nice but if you took the car for a drive, the distributor would lose the spark. I thought it was the MSD box first but I had sent that back twice and it checked out and bought a new box just in case and that's what is in the car now, still loses spark when stopping at a light or sign. So thru the process of elimination, the dizzy

I had a very similar issue on 69 Roadrunner. Took me forever to find it but mine was intermittent. All mine ended up being was a tac wire from the coil  grounding out to the fire wire wall though a worn out grommet and insulation. While moving and with the RPM up, there was enough vibration to keep from rounding for long and I wouldn't notice it. Just something look at.

Is there an adjustment on an electronic. Distributor?   Mine skips at half open  throttle.
