Starting her up!
« on: September 13, 2016 - 02:41:46 PM »
:woohoo: This Saturday is the day! For all those who have been helping us along the way, YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE, Saturday 9/17/16 will be the day we have been waiting for. We will be firing up the 440 sitting in our Cuda for the first time!  :wow: This has been a long time coming and would NOT be possible without 734406pk (Andy) who took a special interest in our project and took the extensive time needed to help us prepare for this day. Hundreds of emails exchanged and more texts sent and he never grew impatient or got frustrated! We can't tell you what your kindness has meant to us!  Thanks to the rest of you who answered all our questions! This will be nerve wracking but so exciting! We will be making a video of our big day so stay tuned for more info on that!  :2thumbs:

Exciting! We are assembling my Hemi on Sunday over here! While it won't run for a bit, it's a step in the right direction!

Congrats for you! Good luck with everything and I wish you the best!

Building our 440 has literally been the highlight of my life.  :clapping: I've lost the man my Dad used to be due to Dementia and he is the man that started my love for cars. My husband continued the tradition. Every turn of the wrench reminded me of being a little girl covered in grease working with her Daddy. Every drop of blood, sweat and tear brought my husband and I closer and hopefully when it fires up all the work, research, money, fret, and worry will have been worth it!  :pullinghair:

I will post pictures of our car (we keep dust cover on it all the time to protect the paint and body work) and motor very soon so stay tuned!!!! Wish us luck for this Saturday!!!!  :puke:

Have fun and good luck.

Just get thru that first 20 minutes of break in and you'll be downhill from there on.

:smilielol:  I get that a lot.  Sometimes I'm envious of the women who never get their hands dirty, never hammer in a nail, never mow the yard but that's not the girl my Dad raised and I'm proud to be a gearhead!  :burnout:  It's not for every woman but it's been a blast for me!  Even though I may not have always known what I was doing, it was still fun.  :dunno:

Now, let's just see if it starts and stays running!   :working:
