What are my 8-Track options?
« on: September 18, 2016 - 08:25:26 PM »
My Wife is making an 8-track player a requirement for the Barracuda. She drove a '79 Li'l Red Express throughout High School and wants the 8-track capability in the Barracuda.

What are my options? It seems like if I can even find an E-body 8-track radio in working condition, it is $500-$1,000. Were there any dealer "era correct" console 8-track options or the like available for these cars I could try to find? Any other Mopar models interchange with the Ebody dash?

Yup!

This was the one to have back then.

First time I saw it was in 75'.
My friends and I were drooling in my his car right after he installed it.

Mounted under the dash.....

Other good decks from the time  Muntz  & Craig Power Play...

Heres a clean Craig near by you, it's missing the harness but looks amazingly clean.....

I will be buying the Vintage Auto Radio. For an 8-track, we bought one for our Warlock, much cheaper/easier to obtain.

Cool!  I hope it works out.  How long was the lead time?  I am currently thinking about being a dealer for AAR, but the lead time is so long.  Keep us posted!
