the reason people replace cars with suv's is because they think it will minimise the damage in a crash, when all it really does is transfer the damage to the other car, so it does make the passengers in the suv safer at the expense of the people in the smaller car, not only is this disturtbingly selfish, if everyone had an suv, it wouldnt work, both drivers will have the same safeness in their suv than smaller cars, therefore we would be back to square one, except with a whole lot more reasons
i have no problem with people who have a legitimate reason to drive an suv, i also believe in freedom of choice in what to drive, but often people (especially women) get into suv's and think their bulletproof, and that kind of attitude is what gets people killed (among other things)
