A JH car in 72 wouldn't have the side louvers. That was Rallye only. The louvers were "standard" but there was a code to delete them. Rallye gauges were standard on Rallye and were an available option on JH. The hood I'm not sure about. Another member has a 72 NON Rallye 340 car and he has the scooped hood.(no side louvers) I don't know if the hood was available on a JH 318 car or if the 340 engine gave you that hood. I thought I read something awhile ago that said the Rallye hood was standard with the 340 option. I haven't been able to find it again though.
1972 Rallye(JS) was a separate model. The grill should be black and the tail panel treatment is one year only.(black tail panel with argent around the tail lights) Standard engine is the 318 with the 340 being optional.
1973-74 the Rallye is no longer a separate model but a "package" on the base model. All VINs are JH. Standard engine for the Rallye package is still the 318.(340-360 optional depending on year) Non Rallye package grills are silver/gray...Rallye package grills are black. Tail panel paint treatment is the same on all Challengers...argent tail panel with black organisol around the tail lights. If a 73-74 car has the Rallye package, it will have code A57 on the fender tag.
