1972 Challenger FOR SALE in PA (SOLD, SOLD, SOLD)
« on: September 26, 2016 - 07:06:00 PM »
Good Evening all!

The time has come to sell one of the projects...I probably won't get around to it any time soon and I have another '72 to restore at the moment. Anyways, here is a 1972 Challenger for your consideration. It is an original 318 car but does not have the original engine/trans. The car came with a 318 with no trans. It has the original white interior with NO TEARS at all! It can probably be cleaned up and put back in. Also, we have a new carpet to go in the car.

Also to go with the car: ORIGINAL RALLYE GAUGES! Yes, original. The car did not come with rallye gauges, but we bought a set for this car. Also, we have almost new rallye doors with mirrors, rallye hood, and almost new trunk lid. We can also part with a complete 440 engine and trans if the asking price is met.

Granted, this is a PROJECT car. It's a PA car with rust. It needs the love and care you guys and gals are famous for. It's not perfect, but it sure as heck can be! I'm looking to get $10k OR BEST REASONABLE OFFER. No, I will not trade. I would rather it be picked up in person and not shipped. The car is located in Reading, PA.

You can email me personally at tcalpino@gmail.com or PM me here.

Good catch! didn't think you could see it there...

It was my father-in-laws. He bought it used in the 80s and drove it as a daily. It's a 318 car, rally package...etc. It's sure fun to drive every now and then. It isn't inspected so we really don't drive it plus it needs more restoration than my other challenger does.

Unfortunately, it's not for sale...too much sentimental value with the cuda and my other challenger.

I thought I'd give you a little color. Lately it seems it's taking longer to sell a car. I had mine up for about 2.5 months and finally got it sold - this was a ready to drive Cuda.

You have to take into consideration your marketplace is smaller as you need folks who want to get into a project. I know a large number of folks get into projects but never complete them. You can see examples of this all over craigslist and ebay.

What I am trying to say is that you have to have patience and it will pay off.

my personal opinion only: its a '72, not the 'desirable' years of '70-71. '72-'74 in running/driving condition are floating @ $14-$25k. yours needs a full resto and a starting point of $10k is more '70-'71 pricing for the current shape/condition. you can sit on it for while and keep it posted, eventually you will probably get some bites and a buyer, but it may take a long time. if you want it gone, drop the price to $5-7k. otherwise, keep it to work on and enjoy

I know! I'm still trying to see what happens with this car.

I'm helping my mother-in-law sell the car. My wife and I bought the property that the garage is on so we're good there...I just want it gone so I have more room for the rest of my projects. I have another '72 Challenger that I'm working on plus a 2013 Hyundai that needs engine work since they refuse to honor their warranty!

I am still trying to get her to either: a) lower the price or b) part it out.

Well, I got her to come down a lot on the price. Now it's listed at $6,000 for everything. Gauges, doors, hood, etc. EVERYTHING.

So we're really trying to give this car to a new owner...

The price for the car, 318, rallye hood, doors with mirrors, and rallye gauges for $5000.
