Return fuel line routing
« on: September 26, 2016 - 10:51:19 PM »
For those running full return style fuel systems... the stock fuel line passes to the right of the torsion bar through a small hole in the frame.  Two lines, (both a supply and return), obviously won't fit through there.  How did y'all route the return? Did you enlarge the hole, drill another somehow, or route it under the frame and back up?

BB cars that used a vapor separator by the fuel pump had two lines running through there. My 73 has a 5/16 and 1/4 line running through there as well.

I'll have 3/8" supply and a 3/8" return.  Definitely won't fit. This is for a hopped up 440 with an in-tank, high flow fuel pump and fuel return for vapor lock and to keep pressure down

I managed to fit two 3/8" lines and a 5/16" line through the crossmember hole.

Maybe the hole on your car is smaller, but I just put a 1/2" and a 3/8" line through mine this last weekend; fit fine.

And now that I think about it, I have the same deal on my 73 Cuda, so I would think you would be fine.

Interesting. I couldn't get them to fit but I had a rubber hose surrounding the inside of the hole to prevent vibrations, perhaps I'll have to try again without and anchor them down better on either side.  It was a /6 car but I doubt the drilled the holes differently
