I bought a Suburban down in Texas. I simply met with my bank manager and told her what was going on . Deal was to send the money via wire transfer AFTER I phoned her from down in Texas after I inspected all the paperwork as well as the truck. Didn't want to get stuck with someone else owing money on it still. Wire transfer from my bank to the sellers took about an hour to clear. Then I drove it home.  :2thumbs:

until you are a victim or know one personally

you are forgiven because you live up north. live in the States and you might start to know the facts because they are numerous and growing. unfortunately policing for profit is an actual thing and it really does happen. I won't take over this thread with a bunch of links and stupid facts, they are easy enough to find if you bother to do a simple google search. I'm just trying to help other members avoid a potential pitfall that could be financially devastating or at the least be pretty painful.
