T/A exhaust headpipe recommendations
« on: September 30, 2016 - 11:05:13 AM »
I have almost all NOS parts for my project except for headpipes and clamps.
Wondering who has the closest to OE repro headpipes?
Dons in OH was recommended to me.  It took them 2 weeks to get back to me after an email inquiry.  They gave me a price for the pipes and said they'd check into clamps and get back to me in a day or so with what they found.  That was around 2 weeks ago, and a my follow up call earlier this week to check has not been returned yet.
I don't know what is up with their slow/no response but I'm about ready to give up on them.  :pullinghair:
I also need recommendations on closest exhaust clamps.  I talked to Badelson and he's out of the clamps he listed.
Gotta get these exhaust parts in hand soon if I am to have any chance of having the car ready for MCACN in November!  :bigshades:

I ended up getting Dales.  Called on a Thursday, they called me back 10 minutes later with an answer to a question I had.  Placed my order, and Saturday morning my doorbell rang, and came downstairs to find my pipes on my front stoop where fedex had dropped them.  That's good service!
Now I have to figure out how to install my exhaust out in my garage...

Don's custom exhaust.
http://www.donscustomexhaust.com/
They were recommended to me by a friend who said him and another guy lent them NOS T/A and AAR headpipes to use to design their headpipes.
Too bad they don't return calls, as I had credit card in hand ready to order from them.  :clueless:
