Here is the rest of the Broadcast sheet which brings up yet another question. section G 3_ is blank for dual mirrors so...what did it have ? Single chrome or single painted ? would it have been a racing style or just like the picture below ?  Thanks again.

With both boxes having no numbers in them for mirrors tells me it came with standard equipment, manual adjusting driver side mirror only.

Well that's not very sexy....but thanks for clearing it up. I was hoping that dual painted mirrors were maybe part of another package and didn't need to be checked.

I would take a manual mirror all day long, if my car was half as nice as that one!!

Here is a part of a build sheet that shows the G36 mirror on a Cuda. G36 equates to dual painted mirrors. Left hand remote, RH manual.

Okay..after some more online research I have a couple more thing I'm not sure of and could use some clarification. According to the themoparshop.com 08/20/70 production changes all Cuda's in EV2 had painted grilles, True ? and since my car VON is 04/30/71 and has electronic ignition. Again, according themoparshop.com production change dated 05/14/71 all 340's with a manual transmission had electronic ignition and is indicated by N26 but my broadcast sheet doesn't even have an option for N26 does that mean its aftermarket. I have seen late model 1971 340 with electronic ignition having a Blue motor,  Is mine late model ?  Should it have a Blue motor? Thank you

I agree that ALL 340's were painted blue sometime after mid-May 1971.

I've restored at least two 71 blue 340 cars that I can remember...

Yes, N23.... you are correct. Sorry for the typo. So if N23 isn't even an option on by broadcast sheet I assume that  mean my car didn't have it ?

If I remember correctly, it's typed along the bottom.....I just looked back, I've restored three blue engine 71's, but only one was coded for electronic ignition, and it wasn't my car so I don't have a copy of the broadcast sheet :-[

Those digits are the clock time that was punched in at the time of the BCS was printed. Can't make out all of them, but I am sure someone can give you a good time estimate.  :cheers:

I sure appreciate all the assistance I've been getting in figuring out the codes. I try to research my question but the internet is only so helpful. I want to start buying parts so that I have them when it comes time to restore it which brings me to this post.....some of the moulding codes I cant figure out exactly what they are like M05 Dr. Edge, M31 Belt, my
research shows for 71 only was for Belt and Hood, what should a shaker have for hood moulding ? what about the Rocker mouldings I didn't see a code for it but since I was asked if I was going to add them back on, is my car coded for that ? Thanks in advance for any and all assistance.

Moldings on a 1971 "BS" Cuda are pretty simple.
EVERY Cuda (with the exception of a HemiCuda) Came with:
M31 Belt Moldings
M88 Tail Panel Moldings
M25 Rocker Moldings
M26 Wheel Lip Moldings.

The only OPTIONAL moldings would be protective moldings such as door edge guards M05 and body side moldings V5X.

NO other moldings were offered on a Cuda.

Obviously if ordered with a vinyl top, or two tone paint, then it came with the vinyl top moldings

To define further...
Belt moldings are the trim on the tops of the door you rest your elbow on while driving with the windows down.

Door edge guards are a thin strip of stainless on the back edge of the door so when open it protects it from paint chips when hitting another car.

Thanks again Alan, I guess I was confused with the M25  code since it says wide sills. When I hear sills I think of the interior shiny door sills that help hold down the carpet. I never knew that the factory offered door edge guards, I thought that was something you just bought at the local dealer or autoparts store. So are the reproduction belt mouldings good quality ? Same for the Rocker moldings ? Does the black paint start from the middle of the Rocker moulding ?
