    "usraptr" = United States raptor - bird of prey = United States Bald Eagle.  FYI, somebody else thought of it first so I had to drop the "O" in raptor.

    1/ Check the grey wire for ground on it's way from the coil thru the firewall to the tach. It may have rubbed off the insulation somewhere
    2/ If the wiring checks out, repair or replace the tach.
    RTE sells replacement guts.
