News:
Year one has them too STant has always been good , Motorad is junk , I have no clue how they stay in business
Why not get a locking cap? I couldn't find any of the twist on caps to work, only $10http://m.autozone.com/fuel-delivery/fuel-cap/dodge/challenger/1974/8-cylinders-l-5-9l-4bl-hp
Saved this from Gary on Moparts..
I could never get one to work, that's why I went to locking, they are different. They don't twist and turn, just push in, never had a problem with leakage.
I Agree. I have a Motorad Locking Gas Gap and it doesn't leak at all on my 70 Challenger, it's been on at least 6 years. Funny how some things work for some people and not for others.Brad, could it be your repop filler neck out of spec on a dimension?http://www.motoradusa.com/aboutus/index.htmlI saw the same gascap today in the Hardware Store (Canadian Tire) for $18.99, it is listed as MGC-771 for a 1970 Challenger 440 with Flip Fuel Cap.
