I wouldn't say that switch is sensitive to vibrations at all, but having worked at Ford dealerships through the 80's & 90's I did have to reset a few when cars would come in on a hook... Generally when someone had absolutely slammed the trunk shut & occasionally when someone slammed the left rear door.... There are two contacts which also happen to be fairly strong magnets, a large ball bearing & a medium strength spring pushes against the ball trying to separate it from the magnets.... It takes a pretty solid shot to open the circuit...
If your running a relay it's best to wire the switch on the control side so it passes less current but in some applications Ford did put it in the main circuit....
