I'm having problem with my Kickdown linkage not staying connected. It keeps popping off. Any ideas on how to fix it?

Can we assume you have the correct arm and have tried tightening the bolt up? Could you post a picture?

Your parts should look similar to this.... There are a few different design clips holding everything together, I suspect one is damaged or missing...

So you have a 71 or newer design.... Still needs to be a clip...

I found this picture online. The upper clips are the style you need for the main kickdown rod.

Okay, I bought a new clip. Now how do I properly adjust it?

with the throttle wide open the rod should be back as far as it will go without limiting throttle travel . if it shifts too hard or too late you can shorten the rod a little
