K & N vs. Fram Air filters

K & N claims there's more CFM using their filters vs. an OEM.

I'd like to hear if anyone observed any noticable differences switching to K & N.
There's another one that is blue I recall.

Green colour is available too. Mine has one, bought it at Carlisle one year, its taller than stock.

   I would try to steer away from a K&N filter. They are coated with oil, and are a pain to clean, and never look as good as new again even after cleaning.

So, I prefer dry filters. That link to those blue filters looks like what you want. Oil wasn't mentioned.

As we all know, Shakers are somewhat restrictive airflow so any improvement on more CFM certainly helps.

I've seen grit on the inside of the aircleaner of cars with K&N's a few times. Maybe the guys didn't oil them right but it sticks in my mind and I've never run one because of it.

I have been running K&N filters on all my cars for quite some time.  I won't run anything else.  If you look up on the internet the difference between K&N and other filters you'll see why alot of gearheads run K&N.
