Correct battery for a 1971 383 Cuda convertible
« on: October 19, 2016 - 12:30:45 AM »
Can anyone tell me what the correct battery would be for a  1971 383 Cuda convertible? Would it be red caps or yellow caps?

Thanks
Tom

The one I'm currently restoring has "62" on the broadcast sheet which is a Group 24 Yellow cap.
Don't you have the sheet for your car ?
I've taught you everything you know.....but I haven't taught you everything I know !

Hi Alan,
Thanks greatly, That works since we are the same build date.

No broadcast  sheet to be found except one dime size piece in the passenger side seat spring. The seats were pulled for carpet at some point in its life and the sheet is missing.

I have the dealer docs and window sticker which doesn't mention the battery.
