so you have both the blue run wire & the brown wires connected together to the red trigger wire for the MSD right ?

Unfortunately I do not, I have the blue and brown wires connected, however I have the thin red MSD wire connected to a "switched" distribution block which I have come to believe is my issue. I read another thread where you discussed this and stated that the MSD wire has to go to the connected blue and brown wires which I will do tomorrow and test it.

I appreciate you jumping on here and commenting. My problem was/is that I could not understand how the engine would run using the remote button and not the key; both turn the engine over but I think because the way I have it currently wired, the ignition is cutting power to the switched block while attempting to start which is why it will not start. This make sense in my head, I will confirm it tomorrow.

Exactly
with the ign switch the ign is turned off while cranking through the blue wire feed & comes through the brown wire feed so the MSD HAS to be conneted to the brown wire so it is on while ranking , this will solve your issue  :2thumbs:

Thanks all, I have it sorted out. Turns out that not only does the MSD need to be connected to the blue/brown wires but so does the EFI ECU harness "switched" wire. All good now. Thanks everyone who responded with ideas, it was this process that allowed me to figure it out.  :2thumbs: :2thumbs:
