5.7L Hemi + T56 Magnum 'Cuda Build
« on: October 21, 2016 - 07:18:58 PM »
Editing original post, the following is what I suppose I'll consider a build thread and I will update as the car progresses. This car was a 318/904 Barracuda and is being converted to a 5.7L Hemi with a T56 Magnum transmission. The car is currently at paint and is expected home within the next couple of weeks. The intention of the car is to drive the wheels off of it, maximizing reliability, performance and comfort.

All of the work performed, minus the paint job, has been done in-house by myself within a standard 2-car garage. Resources are a bit limited in terms of working space, but the project is well on it's way to getting back on the road.

The car was taken out of commission in September [?] 2014, it is now November 2016 and a lot has happened since then! We bought our first house, I started and finished my Masters and we had our first kid! Many of the decisions on this car are balancing quality, performance, cost and of course, time. A big push from my end is to get the car back on the road ASAP, I do not want it turning into a 10+year project that is never finished!

Stay tuned!

I hope it runs by next Feb/March, driving by the 4th of July and trimmed out/complete by the end of Summer.
