Can you put the dash pad on with the frame installed in the car?   Just wondering if you can still reach all the studs

I've popped it in and out but have not fastened it down while in the car, I am not expecting any issues.

It can be done....but it's not fun.  You need small arms and a verity of extensions with the wobbly ends.  :2thumbs:

i'm very interested to see how you like the brake combo. i was wanting to upgrade the 74 challenger to a 2 or 4 piston front/rear disc combo. i'm still looking around in the forums to see if anyone has really commented on how they liked them/were they worth the upgrade price.

I will post an update. The pricing wasn't as staggering as I could be, it was not very much more than the Dr. Diff alternative front/rear.

I managed to spend about 20 hours this weekend on wiring and can say that it's pretty significantly complete now. I have yet to wire the front lights and am about halfway through the rear, but I have the majority of it knocked-out.

Once I button up the wiring I will pin-out check the ECU before applying power to it. From there I will start tearing up the steering column [for the quickener] and the fuel system. Targeting to try to start the engine mid/late March.

Did you wire the dash with it installed?

Yes, wired as you see it, it helped me with routings quite a bit. I did the bulk of the fusebox outside of the car and only needed to make a handful of connections with it installed. I think I have one more wire to do, for my Check Engine Light to the ECU.

Not much "done" but I am pecking away at progress.

After fighting with the Vintage Air a bit and their assembly process I was finally able to get it in there in a manner I accepted. I wish it was better, but it will be as good as it gets. I ended up mounting it differently so that I did not have to drill through the smoothed firewall. I installed the dash frame so that I can reference it for wiring and component locations [Fuse box, relay box, ECU, Wideband controller, etc.]

Not much to see here, but I wrapped up the hard parts of the rear brakes. I have yet to tackle the parking brake or hydraulic lines.

The upper control arms I ordered were backordered around 4 weeks and held me up from putting the car on the ground. Regardless I assembled what I had of the front end, Hotchkis lower control arm pivots, strut rods, and sway bar. I have the Hotchkis tie rods ready to go as well.

The power steering bracket I designed was wrapped up as well, so far so good. I was able to use a factory Hemi 6.1L drive belt. I have some interest in the bracket and may sell a few.

I noticed you put the Wilwood caliper on the back side of the rotor. Was this a direction from Wilwood as the stock position is on the front? I am also planning on the Wilwood front brakes and could not find any information regarding this in their directions.

They are expected to be installed on the rear of the spindle.

Thanks! I've been watching your 'Cuda build, looking good as well!

I hope to get this thing wrapped up this summer, that will make the build about three years long. Too long for me!
