    Convertible rear speaker option that I built

    May get moved but I thought I would share a pic of an option to have rear speakers in a convertible.

    I used aluminum stock from Lowes and a plumbing split foam roll.  Speaker boxes (6.5") are from eBay. Used electrical heat shrink around the aluminum hooks. Hoping to have the rest of the sound system installed this weekend.  Bluetooth amp (no need for a head unit), sub and under dash speakers (6.5"'s)

    The bar is easily removable for shows.

    At first glance I thought you cut holes in rear seat.

    I'm looking forward to some tunes after this weekend.  My iphone speaker doesn't cut it with a hemi rumbling.

    Is stock electrical system able to handle this load or was an upgrade done?

    Stock alternator is handling the power with no issues.

    I have (4) 6.5" speakers and a 10" sub.
    the amp is JBL GTR-7535 5 channel
    No head unit

    Specs:

    • 75 Watts RMS x 4 @ 4 ohms
    • 100 Watts RMS x 1 @ 2 ohms
    • 200 Watts RMS x 2 @ 4 ohms
    • Subwoofer Channel: 4 ohms: 200 watts x 1 chan. or 2 ohms: 350 watts x 1 chan.
    • Total Peak Power: 2300Watts
    • Clari-fi™ Technology
    • Bluetooth Streaming
