Unfollow a thread
« on: November 03, 2016 - 02:37:06 PM »
Is there a possibility to unfollow (get no notifications) for a thread, once you posted in it?

(I couldn't help posting a joke in the "Are you Going To Vote" thread and now that thing haunts me...  I go here to get away from politics)

I know I could remove my post there, but I just wonder if there is such an option, could be good in other threads also.

I have the same question about another thread.  I posted to it once years ago about how to load pictures.  Now it pops up all the time but I never look at it.

If you go up to almost the top right hand side, you will see a tab that says, unnotify, that should get you off the auto mail list.

-------------------------------------

If you look at a page that you don't have all new messages sent to you, on the right hand side, you will see a notify tab. Once that is clicked you will get all new posts to the thread. If you look at it after you click it, it will be a tab that has unnotify. Click it and you are free and clear. Hope this helps. :2thumbs:

That doesn't get the thread from not appearing in your "show new replies to your posts" button.

I just deleted the post I made in that thread.  Maybe since that post is gone, it won't show up any more.  We will see.  A lot of sites don't allow you to delete a post after a certain length of time.  I guess this site is different in that regard.  I was able to delete my post from years ago.

Yep, I noticed that also. It's not a big deal, but I use the function "Show new repies to your post" most, and it would be nice to remove the clutter that is created there. Sometimes I don't reply on a post because the post don't interest me that much, and I know if I reply it will show up forever in my "Show replies". It's a first world problem...
