Does anyone know if 2000 Jeep Cherokee 8.25" Rear End housing Disc Brakes will mount to an 8.75" housing?
Would like to run them on my 69 Barracuda 8-3/4. I like that they have the drum e-brake incorporated and should be inexpensive from pick-a-part...

Also not terribly expensive if the conversion from Summit will bolt on.  $499

Going with 11.75" Drilled/Slotted rotors and Mopar pin on style calipers up front, ala Chrysler Cordoba.

Never tried it !
 I assume the mounting flange is the same the issue I can see is the distance from the flange to the rotor which should be possible to shim the caliper or mount to line up if it is different

I met a guy that has them on his 8.25 rear 73 Duster and he thought it should be the same for an 8.75  :clueless:
Would like to know for sure though.
Guess I could look up and compare the measurements for an 8.25 and 8.75 flange to flange?  :dunno:

The same brakes were used from 8.25 & 8.75 rears for sure , I have done that

Found this kit on EBay for $387 shipped and bought it. New Open Box.
Have the 8.75" all apart so as soon as it arrives I will see how it fits.

From what I understand you'll need to make some custom parts to make the Jeep disks work on the 8 3/4.

Here's a couple of threads from guys that have tried/done it. This is on the A-body site so be careful as some of the info may be SBP related.

I knew there had to be something more than bolt on and go...
Have the rear out and disassembled. Planned on new axles anyway, they will need to be 5/16"longer...
Looks like blue missile got it all figured out and documented.  :clapping:  :bananasmi  :ylsuper:
