Nighty Nite NIKKI
« on: November 07, 2016 - 09:40:40 AM »
Was almost 70 here this weekend. So with my time schedule all screwed up cause of moms illness  :crying: , thought I'd get her to bed. We had a few good times this summer, but very few.  :(  Had plans to get her a few upgrades AND IT JUST NEVER HAPPENED. To a better next year, sleep well baby.

Supposed to be mid 50s and sunny on Thursday. Sounds like a good day to burn a tank of gas.  :grinyes:

Finally got back on the site and would like to report that today we dragged the other cars out of the driveway and I got the old girl out for a beer/liquour store run. Maybe Murray and I will see about burning that tank of gas on Thursday.

Yep same here . . . both cars still ready for action although thoughts of getting them ready for winter have been on my mind.  Hardtop going to storage at my moms garage and the convert staying here at the house for upgrades.

Had the Barracuda out for a nice drive on Sunday.  Hoping to get a few more in before the snow flies.

What is the prevailing wisdom for winter storage?  Live in the Midwest after moving from Virginia.  Full tank, empty tank?  Bags over carbs, exhaust etc.?

Fill the tank, add fuel stabilizer, drive 5 miles and park it. Other things would depend on type of storage such as heated or not and how rodent free it is likely to be.

Having a good taste of Florida weather since being here temporarily, seriously thinking of how nice it would be to enjoy the cars year round w/o any winterizing.

Same here in Ontario.  Weekend forecast looks good, Sunny and 7 - 10 degrees.  I am really thinking I NEED to pull the car out and go for a spin.  I probably shouldn't because I think I have a coolant leak somewhere, but I think I need to.

I can't quite put mine up yet.  I always wait for the salt to be dumped and then I know my season is over.  Today I am taking the 'Cuda out to the shooting range and then to a bar to watch the Packer game.  My radio died a few weeks ago.  I usually listen to the Packer game while cruising the rural back roads at slow speeds just to not waste the day inside.  I can listen to the game and drive my car.  Best of both worlds.
