Thanks guys. 

Been a long day, but I am feeling better about things.  Looks like insurance will cover everything, just need to go through the pain of getting it all fixed.  Three separate claims, and will only charge me one deductible.

My daughter feels better today and my wife will have her back behind the wheel tonight.

The Cuda is nowhere near as bad as I first expected









I crawled under it tonight, and it looks like its just the bumper that is bent, but the brackets may be bent too, not sure.

The valance has a chip at the top, but I am not sure its bent yet.

I wont make a claim on the Cuda.  I think I can fix everything.

I keep saying they are just cars, and can be fixed and while I am glad my wife and kid are both ok, we all know these are more than JUST cars.  I am still pretty bummed, but maybe it will be better once I get the cars fixed.

Wow Jason, that's a tough one. I know years from now you will laugh about it.

If you need a bumper to paint and the Challenger bumper is the same I have one I'll give you.

I am sure it will not take years, hell might only take a few weeks for me...my daughter maybe longer.  its just one of those crazy things!

Well that's one way of making memories. Had a friend every time something like this happened he'd always say in 5 years it won't matter. Everyone's ok, that's the main thing. Hopefully she'll be a little more heads up. Best to you.

Yeah that's goods advice.

She has been fine driving thus far.

This was just one of those crazy deals.  My wife was in the car with her.  She said she felt her hit the brakes, but her foot slipped off and on to the gas.  She panicked, and hit the gas.  Admittedly not good to panic, but happens.  She has had her learners permit for 2 months.

On the road shes been fine.

There is a guy selling a used pair of 72-74 'cuda bumpers up here in Thunder Bay. I think he is asking $300 for the pair. Probably get for 150? We're in the same province but shipping may be pricey? I just sent a small box to Cambridge area and it was $13 so I have no idea how expensive a couple bumpers might be?
I can check if he still has them if you like. Let me know.

Thanks of the offer man.  I actually have a 70 bumper on there.  I am sure I will find something.  Because the bumper is painted, I am not looking for a perfect one.

Yeah the Charger could have been MUCH worse.  Keep in mind it was a Ram not an SUV...the charge went under the bumper of the Truck.  Most of the damage was caused by the hitch receiver.

This sucks for you Jason. I'm really happy to hear everybody is okay physically. 10 months ago my daughter was driving to school and hit ice. 2 of my kids in the car and they hit a light pole on the drivers side. I thank God the kids weren't seriously hurt although the car was a write-off. It seems like most kids learning to drive have some sort of mishap....I say be thankful this happened in your driveway instead of a roadway. I'm sorry to hear it happened all the same. I hope everything gets fixed up for you soon.

Jas, if the bumper's just "wowed" perhaps we could push it on my press. Being painted makes it easier with no chrome to screw up. Give me a holler and I'll come over to take a look. We can paint it in my garage as well. Ley me know and if you want any advice about local body shops just call. Ian

Its bowed pretty good.  I am sure I can find a replacement.

LOL her car...man she just has her LEARNER'S permit...be a few years until she has her own car...she was driving my car.

We are not being harsh on her at all.  My wife was in the car with her.  It was just a mistake, not a case of speeding, or not paying attention.  She was almost stopped when her foot slipped. She was pretty upset, no sense in making it any worse.  We have already had her back behind the wheel.

haha sorry but I noticed in the last pic of valance the skid mark from rear wheel.  6 inches at least.  Wow u must have had the car up against the door.......lucky rear panel is safe

Yeah I keep it parked right at the door so I have room to work at the front. 

Oh the Cuda moved at least a foot.  The truck more then that. 

The way my wife explained it, she was almost stopped behind the truck, she always pulls in pretty slow, and is working on gauging how close she is, and her foot slipped off the brake, accelerated into the back of the truck, then panicked and hit the gas, pusshign everything forward.

I was sitting in our living room watching TV and heard the screeching and crashing.

All in all pretty luck the Cuda was not damaged more than it was.
