Anyone using Vintage Auto Radio for Bluetooth?

I am looking at buying one of their bluetooth converted E-body radios.

Has anyone here bought one? How is it?

Was gonna do that but I have been using Bluetooth in my DD (VW Tiguan), and the soundquality is not great, I hear a big difference if I compare to a CD, it sounds flat and hard. I'm not sure why, I suspect lossy codecs, I just Googled it and it way too much reading right now, I'll do it later.


But as a fact, streming audio thru my iPhone (from Spotify or Apple music) can not compare to playing a CD.
I was gonna have a nice stereo system in my Challenger with a subwoofer and good speakers with clarity, burt feeding a bad signal in to that will defeat the purpose of the whole thing. Will do more research when I get to that point.


I run a recording studio, and I also bought a couple of bluetooth recievers for my mixer, to easy have the musicians listen to music on their phones, (for reference etc) same thing, big quality loss.

Quality is fairly irrelevant to me, if it sounds anything better than a 70's radio, I'm content.  I've been more than happy with the Bluetooth in my Golf.

Not really interested in an amp, woofer, etc, mostly due to weight. The car will get raced, but I want a stockish look inside.

It's fine for general listening, I use it all the time, but I also work with music so I cant use it for reference or when I really want good quality. It will sound better than the radio, the radiostations uses lossy codecs also so pretty much anything will match that.


That radio got an aux input also, thats very good.

That's very cool as well. I'll have to see what my options are since I currently don't have a factory radio, and the am/fm models in good shape aren't cheap!

the Bluetooth sound quality issue will never change, it's a limitation of the technology (can't handle the bit rate, this is why Apply removing the headphone jack was the stupidest move ever - part of the iPhone appeal is its higher quality audio chip - they just nulified that. stupid marketing people making engineering decisions). that said, if '70s quality is OK than you'll be fine

But you can still get the headphone jack, it just moved to the lightning connector, need an adapter though. I'm gonna get a iPhone 7 soon, I dont think it comes with an adapter, it should.

My new iphone 7 came with the 1/8" mini plug to lightning connector adapter.  It was in the bottom of the box.

They also make a split adapter so you can charge your phone and listen to music still at the same time.

I don't know anything about their Bluetooth capability, but I do have one of their radios. Last year I had a problem with it and contacted them. They were very friendly and appeared to be seriously concerned that I had issues. Turnaround was fast.  Found out that they build the radio themselves and are located in Florida.
