1971 Cuda Grill?
« on: November 23, 2016 - 08:38:34 PM »
I am restoring a Red 1971 Cuda and I have a question about the grill.   My car has the chrome bumper and the grill is painted totally argent silver.   At first I thought that was correct for an original 1971 cuda grill but now I am wondering if all 1971 Cuda grills were painted body color (except for the vents in the grills).

Can anyone give me an answer that they are assured is correct?

Thanks,
Bruce

Your FE5 red car should have a red grill. There was a short period of production when they ran short of colour-keyed grills and put argent ones in all the cars. Either one could be considered correct, but it should be red.
