    Fidel Castro has died

    Apparently this morning. We were in Cuba this spring and the car tour operator pointed out the fresh pavement in Havana. It was only on the roads that his pal Obama rode on during his visit, the rest looked like they hadn't been freshened since 1959. No tears on my part.  :wave:

     I lived and worked in South Florida for over 20 years and have some Cuban friends I'm sure they were very happy today .
     I just left Florida yesterday  after Thanksgiving holiday visit and wish I could've been in little Havana for the celebration .

    As I disagree with the easing of sanctions. They as a dictatorship have not improved their stance. Only difference is that the rest of the crap countries have gotten worse around them. So now the perception is "they aren't that bad anymore".

    I am overseas now in Africa.  Watching this on international news feeds ... unbelievable.  BBC, Le Monde, etc ... you'd think they were speaking about Mother Teresa.  How the great revolutionary overthrew Baptista and the oppressive regime ... LOL ... they stop there ... of course ....

    Only one guy interview on the Russian news network made comment in first paragraph.
