    I first fell in love with the Cuda when I was just a kid watching the classic horror movie Phantasm with my older brother. The Hemicuda in that movie was everything a car should be. I've never actually owned a Cuda but I'm an adult now, I never get myself anything I don't absolutely need so I've saved up some cash, and figure now's as good a time as any for a hobby that's almost impossible for me to afford LOL! I really love muscle cars but the Cuda has always been the top for me so I figured, what the hell, I'll go for the best. But I also wanted to check out a forum like this to get an idea of what it's like owning a Cuda and what I can expect down the line. Nice to meet you all and looking forward to learning a lot!

    I've been building my Cuda for 14 months now. I live in Lancaster just north of you. All I can say is if you don't know a lot like me, get out your checkbook if you want it to look nice, this hobby is expensive.  Good luck and feel free to ask me any questions as I don't know much, but I am in the middle of a restoration.

    Welcome the best place to be and learn  . You have picked IMO one of the best looking muscle cars ever . Yes for a young person it is very hard to get into this hobby. But keep looking one will come your way .   :cheers: :aussie:

    Welcome from  :canada:  Yeah, they're not cheap cars to either buy or restore, but there won't be 10 of them at the next car show you go to with it either- a la Camaro or Mustang. You'll probably read here that the best course of getting one of these cars is to buy the best one you can afford- right off the bat, because while you CAN repair/restore a rust bucket (you can ask me how I know that), it'll save you a lot of dough and heart/head aches to get the most rustfree one you can afford.     Thanks for the advice, everyone! Yeah, I actually had a lot of people telling me to go for a Camaro instead. Don't get me wrong, I've seen some sweet Camaros but my heart's in a Hemicuda and so I don't mind pitting my wallet into one either. I'm actually taking it on as a potentially lifelong hobby. I don't really have much of a creative outlet but this is something I'm genuinely excited about and it will be nice to put my mind to something other than watching TV and playing video games.

    That car looks incredible, man! Yeah, I've been to the Spring Fling in Simi but it was ages ago with my grandpa. We hit up some car shows in P:omona once in a while too. SoCal is a great place for car shows.
