Is there any value in 30+year old B.F.G. TA tires?
« on: November 30, 2016 - 05:25:28 PM »
I bought some new wheels and tires for my car. I removed the excellent condition magnum 500 wheels and very old TA tires. The tires are all 235 60 14" three are second generation and one is first. They have little wear and cosmetically nice. One has perfect white lettering and no more than 200 miles on it.
I know some vintage factory tires can be worth a lot. I have no idea if these have any value. If not I will keep the cherry one and dispose of the others.
I am very aware of the safety issue of ancient tires  so don't need to hear about that. Just wondering if there is any market for them.

I can't see the paint daub/matching numbers guys looking at metric sized tires, and they're the only ones willing to pay something for nothing. Personally, I'd load them on the rear end and burn them off while having a bit of fun.

Hey there's an idea! Turn them to smoke...
