K member # location?

Where is the part # stamped on the "K" member?  Does someone have a pic?  Mine is old and has been blasted a couple times.... very hard to find now!
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Hi Cody,
I will attach a photo of one. If your car has one look for a "coin" welded to the front of it. If it has one it should have the last two digits of the part number stamped in it. Lots of K-members did not have them for some reason though, so no big deal if you do not find one.

Does anyone have a list of what the numbers cross reference to?

My K-member has a skid-plate and the metal tag has "52" stamped on it.

52 - Full part number is 3583052 - Correct application is for 1970 E-bodies with 318, 340, 340-6 and 383.

Just out of curiosty, what would be the difference for a 440 k-frame?  I know the Hemi has different motor mounts.  But I thought all other V8's were the same?

The extra weight of the RB block (440) required a skid plate on the bottom of the K-member. Just another example of MOPAR engineering of the day. Only Chrysler would have gone thru that effort to protect the K-member.

So, if your going to do a Hemi conversion on an original Small Block K frame, will there be any issues? I was going to swap to a Hemi and buy the Schumacher conversion kit.

That's strange,

Mine has a skid plate?  So I still don't see why there's a difference for the 440?

I would think someone added the skidplate to yours.

Skidplate was added for protection to the 6quart oil pans the 440 and hemi engines used, not to strengthen the member(thats what viagara is for).

Anything is possible, but a skid-plate is not a bolt on item.  The weld looks factory, I think you could tell if it was cut-off and rewelded.  So if the above part number given is correct I would go with a factory mistake?
