Anyone have aluminum fabricated valve covers for a 440?
« on: December 07, 2016 - 08:48:18 PM »
See these all over eBay, 440 source, etc. anyone have any with an msd distributor? My stock type valve covers are very close to the distributor. Wondering if anyone has these and can recommend a brand that won't cause clearance issues.

Nice thing about fabricated covers, if something doesn't clear you cut the offending metal away, reshape as needed & TIG it back together.... Even cooler that when you pulled it outta the box cause now there really is some fabricating involved... :2cents:

I have these on my 440 and they clear the MSD distributor no problem. I like them a lot!

Havent actually driven the car with them yet though, so no comment on functionality - just looks.

Nice! Thanks for the feedback, will be ordering a set. Probably going to have them powdercoated red and get some custom lettering made to top them off  :stirpot:

I have them on mine but with a stock type distributor. They are looking a little tired after 5? years. No leaks though.  :2thumbs:
