Hi Team,

My trunk locking mechanism fell out of the trunk. I'm at a loss for how to open it. I can get a finger on the cable, but don't know what I need to pull to get it to unlock. Anyone have a picture of how it works? I have not had my trunk open in 6 months. be nice to figure this out so I can have my spare tire and jack back. Hopefully this isn't a stupid question.

When you look in the trunk lock hole do you see a little slot ? If so, put a long flat screw driver in that slot a turn to the right.

You likely won't see a slot on a 'Cuda trunk lock, you also should not have a cable, it should be linkage.

What part fell out, the linkage? lock cylinder? How are you accessing it, through the back seat?

My fault on the poor communication. Yes 73 Cuda. I assumed all the bodies shared the same parts. The round cylinder fell out. I'd like to avoid taking the back seat apart. I can get my fingers through the cylinder hole, but not much else.

Look in the hole....and see if you can find a rod lying there, try and loop it with a wire ? and pull on the rod

We actually did that to open the trunk.

I think we paid him 5 bucks and he was over joyed.
