Door panel question

On a 70 Challenger RT does the door panel have a "wood" insert ? I have seen pictures with it both ways. Which is correct?

FRom what I understand some early versions did not get the woodgrain, but some time during the 70 model year ALL of them got it ?

One problem with the new Metro panels is that they are all cut/drilled for the woodgrain

Mine is an early 70 (Oct) and does not have them. I like the look, can they be added to my existing door panel or is it a completely different panel?

They can be added no problem...just drill some holes !

Plain black with texture and the recess for  the trim and wood grain, I will try to post a pic later. I have found the wood grain insert several places but so far I have not found the trim piece or the emblem.

Nobody reproduces the panel itself, you'll have to look for nice used.

If you have plain door panels in nice shape I would trade to someone who needs them. They are really hard to find.

Yup, my vert is an early car & originally had no inserts, but one panel was broken (about a 10" crack) & since my car has power windows & it's hard to find power window Challenger panels never mind about early Challenger power window panels... I now have wood grained inserts....
