New comp cams Timing chain crank gear slips on by hand ???

I went to install my new cam today and had to change my timing set.  It had a rollmaster on it but it was a single bolt so I got a Comp cams one from summit.  I used a puller to get the rollmaster gear off the crank but I can put the comp cams one on by hand.  So I really don't trust the comp gear or is it normal
That it slides on by hand???

I think I will use the rollmaster crank gear with the 3 hole comp cam camshaft gear.  They seem to be almost the same.  Is this normal that the comp one can slide on by hand ??? 

Anyone got any advice ? Should I use it or not??

The new crank sprocket sliding on by hand is normal, you should have very little or no movement once seated with the key. The harmonic balancer presses the sprocket tight against the crankshaft when assembled. Torque the balancer retaining bolt to spec. 135 ftlbs. Use a little sealant behind the large washer to prevent any oil leaks and don't forget to install the oil slinger! Good luck! :2thumbs:
