Get the car up to 88 miles per hour, engage the flux capacitor, have some taco chips with boiled monkey and it's just that easy!

I have a 72 challenger i just got for restoration and it needs grill and lights and tail lights lots of things just wondering what is involved in the conversion to cuda can it just bolt in or what has to change to do it need one fender as it is can even go there too! Would greatly appreciate the help or point me to a link thanks.    A  :canada: :horse:

well I guess you have to ask yourself about YOUR car is as far as value..mine started life as a 340 ralley car(only have the vin to confirm this)...Im switching my 72 to a 70 ta clone ONLY because I didnt have a fender tag, no build sheet, no matching number motors or trans....Im kind of kicking myself for doing it and not just being more patient and just buying a 70...I have THOUSANDS into swapping it over (grill, fenders, rear tail light panel, rear tail lights, side marker lights and so on), I should have just rebuilt the motor in my car and drove the damn thing!  three years into the project and Im still not close to getting it on the road!!

Better finish your car soon before you change your mind and start a post saying something like "Have a 72 converted to 70, how do I convert it to a 71...."  :stirpot:

:wow: lots of posts no I don't have a camaro lol had surgery and was gone for Christmas !
I've read all your posts and did some research and the cuda idea seems like a huge leap and require a lot of cash to make happen! not impossible but a big investment and commitment. that being said I need fenders and grill so going to try the 70 grill and get what i need for that. anyone got a parts list for this?? :dunno: Thanks for all your input you guys are a wealth of knowledge thanks

Front fenders
Complete grille assy
Headlight bezels
Hood front edge trim
Rework the front bumper brackets to move bumper in.

I think that's all it takes

Do you really need new fenders? Isn't it possible to modify a 72-74 fender to fit the 70 headlight buckets?

I am sure you can use the 72-74 fenders but as I recall they have to be heavily modified making just changing them for 70 fenders much smarter and efficient.
Current Mopar
70 Challenger RT 440-6 EFI, 73 Cuda 416-6 EFI
05 Hemi Durango, 01 Ram 4x4, 14 Ram 2500 4X4, 10 PCP Challenger 6 spd RT, 01 Viper GTS ACR, 52 B3B w/330 Desoto Hemi, 70 Hemi RR (under const)
Past Mopars
9 x Challengers. AAR Cuda, 4 RR, 2 GTX, 4 Chargers, etc... (too many to list)

Hey thanks again for in put I got a 70 grill with the bezels in amazing condition for $350 Canadian. My next thing is the hardware to mount it all brackets and latches as this shell didn't come with anything in front other than a bumper, and as i'm finding my dodge dealer in town has no access to part numbers or imagery of these cars any good web sites in the inter web that someone can suggest. :ebay:
Also wondering if anyone has put a 360 with a a518 how the kick down works, cable, rod?? and how to do full auto without switches? I've seen it on youtube but looking for a more complete description on how to and what is needed! Thanks guys learning a lot here !! :2thumbs:

I assume you got a 70 challenger grill....thats a good price if its in good shape!  the 72 fenders are totally different inside where the headlights mount up...there are several things you have to do including welding the 70 headlight bracket in...and finding the brackets to mount it.....good luck...I just bought 70 fenders because it was cheaper to buy a nice set of used fenders that it was make the 72 fenders work :2cents:  72blunblu talked about it on the first page.....
