    General Lee or 1968 Charger R/T (Triple Black)??

    I am going to order a car through a well known restoration company which will take about 12 months.  :coffee:
    Now, the question is, what to order?? (BOTH have same options) I love both of these cars equally..... :-\

    You HAVE to remember that down here these cars are rare, the General may be plentiful in the US but down here there is probably 0!
    I have seen one and that is it, besides I don't mind if there's 10 (wow!)  ::) :laughing: Anyhow which would you choose and Why?

    I'm leaning towards the General Lee as this car will be a daily driver and the Lee is my idea of a daily driver...rugged yet tough.
    And the General is just an awesome car! Triple black reminds me too much of a show car and will be hard to keep clean.

    Gonna get rocks tossed at me, but the triple black 1968 is a sweet ride. I love it. A General to me recounts a pretty lame TV show. I was too old to like the DoH when it came out in 1979 and therefore have no positive thoughts of it. Plus there are too many General clones out there anyway and with the release of the movie coming up, you will look like a "Me Too" effort at best. Sorry, but you did ask.

    i think you should get the general as a daily driver, but i also agree that it will look like a "me too effort" unless you get the details better than the cars they used in the movie, even then only someone who knows what their talking about would be able to tell if it was because of the show and not the movie, but i think it would be extremely cool to have a general lee as a daily driver, i also like the '68, the only thing that im not sure about on the '68 is theres no split in thwe grille and to me that looks really weird

    Thanks lads.  ;) The grill is just a personal preference, I love it, but the grill on the '69 with the nudge bar is also awesome.  :D


    As I said in New Zealand a "me too effort" does not apply.  ;) 1, 2 or 3 of them MAXIMUM. Even that is way off.  :thumbs:


    Hmmmmmm, so far I'm 70% General Lee, if this Black Charger comes through I'll take it if not....the lee is 70%....

    No kangaroos here, I'd have to get it shipped to Australia to do that.  :laughup:

    It's going to be a 440 TorqueFlite combo -  :grinyes: 8) This car is far a daily driver and straight line speed, not for "fun" (Willbe either way).

    Yip, I like both, General lee more so as it's just more brute. A "Who cares" attidtude about it.  8)

    Votes will not determine the outcome but I am very interested in what you all have to say and what you think.

    If this black Charger works out I'm buying it, if not the General is looking mighty tasty.  :thumbs:

    i understand with the lee charger,i think its easier to have a little more a different attitude about,you can tear it up you kno.or do whatever you want to do with it but the black charger it looks nice.it all depends on what you the driver want.

    The lee will be driven the same as the Black '68 but the Lee has that "image" of being a "I don't care" kind-of car, ya know?  ;)
    I'm not sure, I'm on Car domain now looking at the different Chargers and they're both equally as good.
    The ONLY down point of the General Lee is that it is common, every redneck has one just about but still, I like it.
    Plus that is over in the states, not down here in New Zealand where as I said there are none (maybe one?)
    My Mum & Dad both say black, but they don't hate the General, just think the '68 is more "classy" doesn't scream "attention".
    But their old and admited that.  :laughing: The Black '68 has come back up again I'm still about 55% for the Lee.
