72 Cuda, owned 25 years. 496, with ported Stage VI heads, .625 in solid roller, 254/258 at .050, 3500 stall, 3.91 rear. 850 Holley DP, Reverse manual valve body.

1999 Trans Am, LS1, heads, cam, headers, stall, etc! Love to surprise the rice rockets with this one. They seem so confident, then it's "what the heck just happened?"

Then those people would be missing out. (provided you have the $) Lots of awesome foreign cars out there!
What country do you think of when someone mentions supercars? Germany, Italy, England maybe?

I had opportunities to buy Ferraris, Maserattis, and Porches in the 60's and 70's.
But when I saw that they had 2000 cc engines, or 150 hp, I said forget that,
because there were Hemi's and SS454s all around.

Well, that was a mistake!!!!

There is a guy local to me, in Riverside CA, that drives his 1966 Ferrari 365 Daytona every week to his place of work, rain or shine.  It isn't a 20+ million dollar car, but is still over a million dollar car.  Makes me smile every time I see it parked out front, that he is enjoy it and not parking it in an controlled environment to appreciate.

Two cars tat immediately come to mind... When I was living in Santa Cruz there was a guy who daily drove his 56 SL300 Gullwing, it was parked on Soquel Drive practically every day...

And here in Modesto a man had a Ferrari 250 GT SWB that he picked up in the early 70's, hasn't been on the road in years but I've seen it tucked away in his garage in the last year so it's still around....  Course there are a lot of amazing cars tucked away in garages so probably not a big deal.... :grinyes:

It blows my mind that a very short time ago you could pick up a Ferrari 308 or 328 for the low $30k's and now they've exploded in value...wish I would'a got one

I recall an aluminum (very rare) gullwing Mercedes for sale in the 60's for $3500.
May have been in a wreck. But from the picture it was all there.
I would poor over the LA Times auto classifieds every Sunday.
Real 427 Cobras were $9000.

Have been looking at some Hemmings from the 70's.  Anything Shelby Mustang
around $5000.
