4C, you're absolutely killin' me with your pics!
First the '71, and now not one, but two HemiCuda wrecks?
Like a dagger to my heart man ...  :crying:

This HemiCuda lost control and hit a telephone pole sideways literally tearing the car in half killing the driver.

DUI was a factor in this one. This HemiCuda lost control and barrel-rolled at least four times ejecting one of the passengers and killing him.
Cheers!

Alan ... those can't be before and after pics of the same GTX can they? In that before pic, there really doesn't look like there is all that much that could actually be saved :dunno: Keith Sim must of made a fortune on that one if it is the same car :grinyes:
Cheers!

Yup...it's the same car. However Keith did not do the metal work. The car came to me with the metal work finished. I don't know how much of the original car was saved, but I can tell you it looks like Frankenstein inside. There's weld marks through-out the floor, roof pillars, door posts, firewall, etc...In my opinion, it wasn't just a "simple rebody". From what I understand, after  the restoration I did to the car it was sold to somewhere in Western Canada where a storage barn collapsed on it crushing the roof again...It's been fixed but the quality of paint is now terrible.

Seeing the pictures of that Charger reminds me of a story Ken Mosier told me a few years ago.  As I recall of the story, a '69 hemi Charger 500 was at a shop in the southeast somewhere.  After media blasting it, they left it sitting outside for months and the body became absolutely trashed, he didn't think the project was salvageable at that point.
Speaking of rare cars recently trashed, there was a fire in someone's barn in Missouri in the last year or two that destroyed the owners collection.  I heard the cars and motorcycles were uninsured.  But not long afterwards, the superbird showed up at an area show.  It may be burned to a crisp but apparently still runs!

Here is one I pulled from the mud.  from Missouri

You can see in the top of the picture where the torsion bar broke and ripped the front floor up into the passengers foot area.
And that's where I found the fender tag......
