Just curious if a steering pump would have a part number stamped on it and if so where would it be?

I looked all over this one and couldn't find any numbers. It's the original out of my '70 Barracuda.

No p/n on my 1970 Challenger original pump. Looking at the pump, there is not really a good location for a stamped p/n.

JayBee your pump is a saginaw and I thought a 70 would have a federal pump.

What can I say, that's the one that was on the car when I bought it in 1979. The pulley wobbles like crazy because the shaft is shot.

It seems like the aftermarket is better for the Saginaw, of course mne has a Federal. Its a lot more work to find a pulley for the Federal.

My 1970 Challenger 383 came with a Saginaw pump. Just bought a rebuild kit for like $15. There are a couple of good YouTube videos showing how to rebuild one. Looks easy.
