Any problems or issues with the 2014 5.7 Dodge Charger R/T AWD?
Would you buy one or stay away? Thanks.

There is a couple in my local car club that has one. I didn't even know you could get AWD with a Hemi engine. Anyway, they bought it because it's the wife's everyday car....And apparently she doesn't drive so well in snow.
They love it. I didn't hear of them saying anything negative about it. As I understand, it's rear wheel drive until the car notices slipping, then the front wheels kick in.

Thanks for the reply. I took one out for a test drive and it seems to handle quite well on the snow and ice without slipping or spinning.
I think 2014 was the last year they put the 5.7 Hemi in the AWD Charger and Chrysler 300 as they went to the 3.6 V6, maybe different story for the
police packages, I don't know. Seems like a practical car with AWD for year round use especially winter, maybe with exception of city gas mileage.
I found getting into the back seat that the roof is low and I bumped my head!

There was a guy here, a technician, several years ago, who claimed that the PCM will shut down the motor if one tire's inflation is significantly different than the others'. I have no experience with them, so this is hearsay.

I have a 13 300C 5.7 Hemi AWD and love it for winter driving. above 40Deg it is only rear wheel drive which helps with mileage and when wheel spin occurs or it drops below that temp is when it engages. you don't feel it at all other than more traction. Hwy MPG's seem to be around 24 city is way less somewhere around 15ish, not bad for a car of its size though IMO
I would rather drive that in the snow than any of the four wheel drive pickups that are around, it handles way better.

i was actually debating it for my next daily driver (when i either get sick of the 2010 impala or it is no longer worth keeping, so probably too far in the future to not be an option). not sure i want to get a v-6 however. i see the challenger is now a awd v-6, and received pretty good reviews.
