Hello  My restorer,s guide calls for a # 757 on the trans pad on the right side, for 340. # 825 for 383  .  the only #,s i find on the pad are pp8333932     2b408157  and is is (1)57    9  71. on housing c99129h.  I just want to know if this 4 speed is for a 340 and that thelow gear would be 2.47:1  thanks Terry. ps what are these tranny,s worth.

all of the 833 use the same castings so the stamped #s are the only id for the gearing inside , you can pull the side cover off & count teeth , around here they go for $600 range in good working cindition , more if they are rebuilt
