    Identify these wires

    Can someone identify these for me. The connector on the right appears to have a Brown wire with a white stripe and the other maybe black with a white stripe but I'm not 100% sure it's black. The other looks black with a yellow stripe.

    The two wire connector looks like the pick-up connector for the distributor. The other I'm going to guess that it is one of the coil wires.

    I think you're right and the easy way to be sure would be to clean them, note the colours and consult the shop manual where there's dozens of pages with all the wiring schematics showing function and colour legends. Good luck.  :cheers:
