71' Shaker bubble finishing details
« on: January 16, 2017 - 05:00:08 PM »
I'm in the process of refinishing my shaker assembly for my 1971 Cuda and I have some questions about the finish of the cold air door assembly and scoop inserts.
1. Is the cold air door assembly left natural, should it be plated or painted ?
2. Are the scoop inserts Organisol black like the bubble or should it be more like a smooth low gloss trim black finish ?

I finished the base in a 80% gloss black, added a new seal and DMT warm air seal.
I'm also going to redo the non-original Gull wing since it has a few issues, Is the correct finish Organisol Black like the Shaker bubble ?
Thanks for any guidance and assistance.
