Can I replace the signal switch without removing and dismantling the steering column?
In search of the eternal buzz!

Yes.  You'll need a puller to remove the steering wheel and crush can.  Once the crush can is removed, the switch will be right there.

There is a plastic cover on the outer column body that covers the ignition switch/turn signal switch wiring.  There are a couple screws that hold that in place.  Other then that, it's just a matter of removing the turn signal lever and the screws that hold the switch on.

If you haven't got the tool, you can make your own crush can puller like I did.

I used the generic puller from HF with longer screws.

The screw that holds the handle on could just be loose.

:iagree:
And there is a hole in the crush can to slip a screwdriver through to tighten it.

I replaced mine, and the repop plastic switches have a lot of play in them. So even if the screws are tight it still moves up and down some.
Hopefully someone here knows of a good company to buy s switch from.
