HI new to forum and in the market for 1970-74 barracuda. I'm not new to muscle cars. I own a 69 fastback mustang which I'm also restoring. Thanks and yes something that has a decent foundation to start with. I don't mind replacing quarter,floors and trunk floors. Just want the framed be solid

The seller sure did a lot of great photos.  From what I can see it will need both rear quarters, trunk extensions and possibly trunk floor.  The frame rail look good.  The whole car defiantly needs to be blasted, but I think its pretty solid overall, but it needs everything rebuilt on it, dash gauges, door panels, seats and interior.  74 are the least desirable cuda's   I feel the $7500 he is asking is a little high, but he will probably come down on the price some. The 440 and 4 sp helps some, sense you would have to chase them down.

Thanks for the info and I got it down to 5k and it doesn't come with doors or the 440 from the motorhome. I'm probably going to restomod it. I'm new to cuda and was shocked to hear a 74 cuda is less desirable I always thought the 69 and down were.

Welcome to the site and good luck with your search! Be advised, the 67-69 Barracudas were A body cars and quite different than the 70-74 Ebody cars. As for the 74's being the least desirable ones, I feel that it beauty is in the eye of the beholder and if you like a 74, then who the hell should tell you "no"? While they're less valuable, they're also less expensive to restore, since the 70-71 guys often have the have the numbers matching master cylinder or PS pump and they pay through the nose for them, so enjoy your 74 if you get it!

Thanks and I only like the 70-74 cuda's. It affordable  but why are the 74 lease desirable when look like the 73. Was it due to the engine options available at that time

No 340 in 74. Other than that it is essentially the same as 72 and 73. I would not mine a 71 front with 72_74 back.

I agree. The 71 grill assembly is about 1k I have seen online. It can fit a 72-74 cuda correct

Let me clarify, I live all years of e-bodies. 

What I was saying about the 74 was that they are  least desirable, because they all were cudas, and didn't come with the traditional upgraded cuda options. Although they dropped the 340, you could get a 360.

Welcome to the site!  To answer your question, yes the 71 grill will fit in any of the cuda's but certainly will take some effort as the 71 is the only year with 4 headlights.  Good luck with the search for a project ebody!
